Important information
Elena Guillaumin is a cosmopolitan Russian born artist who splits her time between residing in France and Scotland. Her main studio is based in the West End of Edinburgh but she also works from abroad.
Elena attended a school of art in Russia during her teenage years and she later studied at the Laoust Art Academy in Paris until 2012. Elena was taught at the academy under the direction of Hannah A. Laoust, a renowned artist, sculptor, painter and dancer. To this day, her training has been a unique and solid foundation which underpins both her creative flair and her success as an independent artist.
Since moving to Scotland in 2014, Elena’s artwork was influenced and strongly inspired by the Scottish landscape and ephemerality. Her paintings capture a variety scenarios from landscapes to abstracts. She became particularly known by her floral and birch trees’ collections.
